However, if the sponsor or petitioner is an active-duty military, you may use the middle column. For example, if a husband is petitioning for his wife, and their household size is two people, the husband would have to show that he makes at least $20,575. In some scenarios where the petitioner isn't working or doesn't make enough income, they can find a joint sponsor. A joint sponsor can be anybody who is a permanent resident or US citizen, and they also have to meet the income requirements.
